Global Warming...

I don't put much faith in the hubbub going around these days about global warming.

The UN got a bunch of third world scientists to write papers on it and lumped them together as some sort of concordium. I'm sure all of these guys (or gals) had the most sofisticated equipment to measure things that needed to be measured...

Three decades ago, the scientific community was all a fuss about global cooling and what we needed to do about it!

The environment works in cycles and man made green house gases don't have catistrophic effects on it. Furthermore, cutting back on these emmissions would do far greater harm to developing nations and the world's economies than good for the environment.

Should we stop what we have been doing to curb them? No. I remember back in the 70's when there was trash all over the place, especially those obnoxious plastic fast food containers. Remember the crying indian commercials?

If global warming is so dire, Mr Gore, I must say that the Kyoto accords are too great a burden for us and has not enough effect on greater pollutors around the world. President Clinton signed it, but Congress has yet to ratify it.

Why don't you call for limits on air traffic? See those white trails criss-crossing the sky? Those are green house gas emitting jet aircraft. The most grevious among them being low passenger light aircraft like the ones you jet across the country in almost daily.
