Americans have relatives serving over there; that's apparent. Some are mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers. However, the military I served in was an all volunteer force, as is the current military. There are sacrifices, yes, but they are felt by all Americans, not just immediate relatives. Sen Boxer's comments only emphasise her complete ignorance.
